The boat
Built in Hungary under the impetus of Nandor Fa, which he himself co-designed with the architect Attila Déry, the boat was launched in spring 2014. Regularly optimised by her former owner, she finished the 2016 Vendée Globe in a very good 8th place. Since 2018, she has been owned by Denis Van Weynbergh and now carries the colours of D’Ieteren Group.
Based in Les Sables d’Olonne, and more precisely at the Vendée Globe pontoon in Port Olona, where the fleet of the legendary race docks every four years, she is rigorously prepared by the Vendée team of volunteers, who are planning a major refit for 2024 to optimise the machine. Moreover, out of concern for the environment but above all out of ethical considerations, he has chosen to equip his boat as much as possible with materials that have already had a first life, particularly in terms of electronics and fittings. The key to a sustainable project; a "marine" project, both on land and at sea!
